This is out of my personal collection 1969 Genuine lotus Cortina 1969 G registered with 36,700 miles showing (Cannot be verified) although the last owner had it 40 years and recons it’s genuine
Lotus White with a Sherwood Green Stripe, Black Vinyl Seats and 3 Spoke Leather Rimmed Steering Wheel.There are some old tax disks and mots he maintained it himself and also has plenty of old photos of the car really good to have it’s also complemented by a DVLA owners check list ?This particular Lotus Cortina comes with the log book change from 1986. We have had the car inspected by The Lotus Cortina Register and they confirmed that it is a Genuine 1968 MK2 Series 1 Lotus Cortina , and all items present under the bonnet , Correct Girling MK2 Servo. The inspection report and valuation will come as part of the sale. The wheels are after marker ones brand new as are the tyres and it comes with original set of magnesium 13 inch mini lights polished as well . ?The bodyshell looks to be in Exceptional Condition all round with no rust showing and presents amazingly underneath. The engine sounds fabulous. The interior is fabulous fresh from a full Retrim including carpets seats and head lining the full length sunroof works perfectly All in all, a very solid example which looks fantastic from every angle and an ideal Collectors car. ?The MK2 Series 1. 5 Lotus Cortina was built using the heavy duty and already rally successful MK2 GT Body shell with Anti Tramp Bars on the rear and rolled wheel arches at the front to accommodate the wider wheels. 2 Prototype GTs were sent to the Boreham Plant to be developed into the Cortina Lotus where the suspension was also developed, lowered by an inch and upgraded, and the car fitted with radial tyres. The result was a car that handled really well on the road as a Performance saloon.
The car had an mot last year and is tax free I would be interested in a px but only with a 3 door Ford Sierra Cosworth has to be a nice example no projects thank you
